Albert Sorrosal i Cuyàs is a graduate in Business Studies and MBA from ESADE. He has worked as an expert for the European Commission since 1996 (DG REGIO, DG ENV and DG NEAR). He is currently key expert of the TESIM project, a technical assistance to DG REGIO that supports cross-border cooperation programmes with the European Union's neighbouring countries, i.e. Eastern Europe, Caucasus, Middle East and Maghreb.
He has more than 30 years of experience in supporting public administrations and private foundations and associations in attracting and managing European funds, with clients in South West Europe, Germany and Belgium. He started his professional career as an auditor.
He is a trainer for officials of the European Commission and national authorities of Member States and neighbouring countries. He is also coordinator of the postgraduate course in European fundraising and management at the Col-legi de Sociòlegs i Politòlegs de Catalunya, as well as lecturer of the Master in Smart Cities at ZIGURAT.
