Mosaic, the First Alumni Magazine of Zigurat

On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, Zigurat Global Institute of Technology launches the first edition of the Mosaic magazine. This quarterly publication focuses on reporting on the projects, achievements, and experiences of our Alumni community.2021 is going to be a special year for Zigurat and, in fact, it has already started in the most spectacular way. On December 28th, we bid farewell to a year full of growth and challenges with our most optimistic smile and with the publication of the new corporate video inspired by the concept of Beyond Future Education. This video was just one of the new initiatives we have in stock for this year, and Mosaic, the Zigurat Alumni magazine, is living proof of this. It is with the publication of the first issue of Mosaic, that the story of our Alumni gets a new channel of expression, although, in reality, it has been unfolding for the last 20 years. In these first 60 pages, we seek to illustrate what the community of students, professors, and companies that create the Zigurat ecosystem can achieve, bringing their realities closer and making known not only those admirable professionals but also the people behind each project.Mosaic, a work of art created by our AlumniDrawing the parallelism between assembling the pieces of colored stone, glass, or ceramic and representing all the achievements of our Alumni in one big picture is more than accurate. That is why, in part, we can consider these twenty years of track record as a harmonious work of plural authorship. Because all together, we continue to shape this great mural of experiences and learning that have described and will describe Zigurat in the future. Adriana Sauleda, the Project Coordinator of Alumni at Zigurat Global Institute of Technology, predicted that 2021 would be "a year full of color". And it sure has got off to a great start, as this first issue of Mosaic already gathers many stories and projects that have done their fair share to improve the world that we live in. In its pages, we have the testimonial of Beatriz Ivo, Alumni of our Smart City Management master's program, and journalist at the communication group Sistema Jornal do Commercio de Comunicação in Brazil, who tells us how the contents of the program have influenced her project of regional debates in the Province of Pernambuco. We also interviewed Eduardo Guerrero-Strachan, Alumni of the Máster Internacional BIM Management and Partner at GSA, Guerrero-Strachan Architecture, to explain the essential role training has played in his projects. Or the project presentation by Wiktor Rybus, Alumni of the Master's in Global BIM Management for Infrastructure Projects and BIM /VDC coordinator of PORR Group who shares with us an exceptional project that he worked on: Randselva Bridge, the longest bridge in the world built solely on BIM models.
