Categories

The first edition of International Student Week in Abu Dhabi is just around the corner. From 15th to 20th of September, 2019, the students of Master’s in Global BIM Management for Infrastructure Projects will gather in the capital of UAE to learn more about BIM implementation in the Middle East.
The International Student Week in Abu Dhabi, organized in collaboration with CCC, focuses on the Midfield Terminal Building of the Abu Dhabi Airport, a landmark megaproject in UAE developed entirely in BIM. The five-day program is tailor-made for the students of BIM infrastructure projects and encourages them to apply the knowledge acquired during the course of the program on-site. During five days, the participants will visit the site and assist various BIM showcase sessions at the Abu Dhabi International Airport Midfield Terminal Building. The themes covered during the International Week in Abu Dhabi include BEP and EDI, document management and collaboration solutions, BIM QA/QC system and workflows, project scope management and QS (Quantity Surveying), change management and variations, and Project Controls and Systems Integration. In addition to academic activities, cultural and dinner events have also been programmed to offer a less formal environment to strengthen personal relationships. The students coming from Europe, North America and the Middle East, who have carried out course projects together in a collaborative working environment, have finally a chance to meet each other in person. Professors of the master, members of the Zigurat team and CCC, the top construction company in the Middle East, will also take part in the networking activities.
