Sandra Liliana Cano Moya

Engineer. Associate Professor at Universidad del Valle, Colombia

My mission as an educator is to empower future engineers with the wisdom of experience and the innovation of technology, and to lay the foundations for a more productive construction industry.

Sandra Liliana Cano Moya is a distinguished Civil Engineer with extensive academic and professional experience. She holds a PhD in Engineering with a specialisation in Industrial Engineering from Universidad del Valle, Colombia, where she has been a full-time Associate Professor since 1997.

Dr Cano specialises in Lean Construction, BIM and Construction 4.0, making significant contributions to research and education. She has also completed advanced degrees in Civil Engineering, Project Management and Structural Engineering.

Dr Cano has led numerous formative research activities and initiatives and has been responsible for both academic and academic-administrative areas at Universidad del Valle. She has received several prestigious scholarships and awards for her work in civil engineering and construction management.
