Carlos Dias is a specialist in Building Information Modeling (BIM) with a strong academic background and extensive professional experience. He graduated in Mathematics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and holds postgraduate qualifications in Information Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and in BIM Project Development and Management from Faculdade Unyleya. His expertise includes developing BIM solutions using programming languages such as Python, C#, and Dynamo, along with in-depth knowledge of Industry Foundation Classes (IFC).
Currently, Carlos Dias serves as BIM Technology Researcher at Fundação CERTI.
In addition to his responsibilities at CERTI, Carlos Dias is a lecturer in Parametric Design for the specialization course on Parametric Design with Visual Programming in BIM, offered by Zigurat Global Institute of Technology. In this capacity, he shares his knowledge and expertise with professionals and students, equipping them with advanced skills in parametric modeling and visual programming applied to BIM.
Carlos Dias's contribution to promoting BIM in Brazil is widely recognized. He actively participates in events and seminars, such as the International Seminar: The BIM Era, where he discusses the benefits of using IFC and OpenBIM.
