ZIGURAT Retains Top Positions in the Financial Magazine Rankings

For the third consecutive year, ZIGURAT Institute of Technology continues to lead the Financial Magazine Rankings, and also this year is named the 2nd-best educational institution for academic excellence. Once again, ZIGURAT has secured first place in the categories of Architecture, Environment, and Urban Planning, while also earning recognition in strategic areas such as Energy, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Transformation.

This year, ZIGURAT has also been awarded 2nd place in the Excellence in Education Ranking, acknowledging the institution's ongoing commitment to academic quality, innovation, and the professional impact of its programmes.

In this 11th edition of the rankings, more than 400 universities and schools of architecture and design were assessed. ZIGURAT stood out as the top-ranked institution in three key areas thanks to the excellence of its flagship programmes: the Máster en BIM Management (Spanish edition of the Master’s in Global BIM Management), Máster en Construcción Sostenible y Circular and Master's in Global Smart City Management.

1st in Architecture: Master’s in BIM Management

For the third year running, the Master en BIM Management has been ranked the best Architecture master’s programme. A cornerstone of ZIGURAT’s educational offering, this programme continues to lead its field thanks to its comprehensive approach to BIM methodology. It equips architects and engineers with the skills to manage multidisciplinary projects in collaborative digital environments, using cutting-edge tools and workflows aligned with the real needs of the construction industry.

1st in Environment: Master’s in Sustainable and Circular Construction

ZIGURAT’s master’s in sustainable and circular construction (Spanish edition) maintains its first-place ranking in the Environment category, establishing itself as a benchmark for professionals seeking to drive sustainable change in the built environment. The programme is structured around regenerative design, energy efficiency and the integration of circular economy principles across the entire construction lifecycle, preparing participants to develop responsible, future-oriented building solutions.

1st in Urban Planning: Master’s in Global Smart City Management

Also ranked first in its category for the third year in a row, the Master’s in Global Smart City Management trains future urban leaders to design and manage smarter, more inclusive and resilient cities. Through an international and multidisciplinary approach, students gain the tools to implement sustainable urban transformation strategies aligned with global best practices and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Second Place in Academic Excellence and Energy

In addition to topping multiple categories, ZIGURAT has been named the second-best educational institution overall in the Academic Excellence Ranking, further validating its educational model, built on over 20 years of experience, an outstanding international faculty and a thriving Alumni community, which rates the institution 4.8 stars on Google Reviews.

ZIGURAT’s Máster Internacional en Climatización (HVAC) con Eficiencia Energética (Spanish edition) also achieved 2nd place in the Energy category, thanks to its practical, forward-looking approach to the design and management of sustainable climate control systems, aligned with the most demanding energy performance regulations and current challenges in construction and industry.

AI-Focused Programmes Also on the Podium

ZIGURAT’s commitment to technological innovation was further recognised with two Artificial Intelligence programmes ranked in the top three this year.

The MBA in Digital Transformation with AI was ranked 3rd in the Generative AI master’s category. This programme prepares AECO professionals to lead digital transformation within their organisations, equipping them to foster innovation, automation and strategic decision-making through the use of generative AI tools.

The Máster en Inteligencia Artificial para Arquitectura y Construcción (Master's in Artificial Intelligence for Architecture & Construction) also secured a 3rd place ranking in the Artificial Intelligence master’s category. Despite competing with programmes from a variety of other sectors, this master’s stood out for its ability to train professionals in the design of intelligent solutions and the optimisation of the entire project lifecycle. The programme offers pioneering training in algorithms, machine learning and predictive analytics tailored to the AECO sector, and its innovative approach has even caught the attention of international media.

Since first entering the rankings three years ago, ZIGURAT has consistently maintained a leading position, year after year.
