Zigurat Global Institute of Technology gets ISO certified for its Quality Management System (QMS), confirming its commitment to efficiency and security.

Zigurat has always strived to provide its customers and partners with the best service, product, and support possible. That’s why, with the aim to always meet or exceed the customers’ expectations for quality and performance, its team set out to obtain the ISO 9001:2015 certification. In 2018, the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona granted Zigurat a small subsidy for ISO Certification from European funds. ISO or International Organization for Standardization is an independent, non-governmental organization that brings together experts to build consensus-based, market-relevant international standards. This organization gives world-class specifications for products, services, and systems to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. To get ISO certified, an organization must evaluate several external certification bodies and find the one that best suits its industry and internal processes.  In Zigurat’s case, APPLUS, a leading international certification body in the field of buildings and infrastructure, was deemed the most suitable. To achieve the optimal execution and definition of the processes required by the standard, Zigurat counted on the expertise of Ariol Consulting, specialists in the implementation of standardized management systems.  During the ISO 9001:2015 assessment, APPLUS highlighted Zigurat’s well-defined processes and the organizational structure in general. After months of vigorous work and streamlining those processes even more, in September 2019, the collective effort was rewarded with the certification.  However, Zigurat’s team is not planning to rest on its laurels. ISO 9001:2015 requires Zigurat to regularly review and keep improving its systems and processes, document key business procedures, communicate and train staff in the entire contract life cycle and assure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements. Moreover, Zigurat’s QMS Officer Marta Riera indicates that this is just the beginning: “This certification will open the door to other international acknowledgments of even greater academic value.”
