Deborah Macedo dos Santos is an architect, researcher, and Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) , Deborah Macedo holds a PhD in Architecture specialising in Design and Computation from the University of Lisbon. With over a decade of experience in higher education and applied research , she leads the CoDe (Computation and Design) research group , where she coordinates investigations into the automation of architectural processes and computational workflows.
Her interdisciplinary work integrates BIM (Building Information Modelling) , generative design, and digital fabrication into the development of sustainable solutions. With an academic background that includes a Post-doctorate in Education and an MBA in Sustainable Construction , she has authored numerous international publications.
Alongside her teaching career, she possesses substantial practical experience in public management as an Architect and Urban Planner. As a certified trainer , she is dedicated to developing innovative pedagogical methodologies that prepare professionals for the technological and environmental challenges of the contemporary built environment.
