ZIGURAT Institute of Technology and Graphisoft, a global developer of BIM solutions renowned for its focus on openBIM and interoperability, have signed an academic collaboration agreement that strengthens their long-standing relationship and reinforces their joint commitment to high-quality training in the AECO sector.
Since the inception of the International Master’s in Global BIM Management, ZIGURAT has integrated Archicad as one of the programme’s core tools, due to its powerful modelling capabilities, intuitive organisation of BIM objects, and, above all, its open philosophy that facilitates collaborative and multidisciplinary work.
Thanks to this agreement, students who complete the Archicad module within the master’s programme will receive an official Certificate of Completion from Graphisoft, validating their competence in using this internationally recognised tool. This certificate complements the master's degree and enhances students' profiles in the job market.
Moreover, ZIGURAT has been recognised as an Authorised Academic Trainer by Graphisoft, an accreditation that certifies the institution’s ability to deliver high-quality Archicad training within an academic environment.
During the programme, students will also have access to Graphisoft Archicad Collaborate academic licences, including Archicad, BIMcloud and BIMx, as well as other solutions from the Graphisoft/Nemetschek ecosystem. This ensures that participants work with cutting-edge tools, widely used in real-world international projects and aligned with openBIM standards—guaranteeing a practical, up-to-date learning experience connected to the professional reality of the AECO sector.
As Carmen Sánchez, Institutional Manager at ZIGURAT, explains: “Our priority has always been to train professionals with critical judgement, capable of choosing the right technology—not just knowing how to use a tool. That philosophy of freedom is the essence of Open BIM, which we’ve supported since our very first edition 10 years ago. Finding in Graphisoft a partner that shares these values is key: together, we showcase the full spectrum of BIM and close the circle by offering students a certification that strengthens their professional profile.”
Through this partnership, ZIGURAT reinforces its mission to deliver international, applied education focused on real-world use of advanced BIM technologies, while strengthening its network of collaboration with leading companies in the sector. The agreement with Graphisoft not only expands the educational resources available but also contributes to positioning master’s students as highly qualified professionals for collaborative, digital working environments.
Commenting on this collaboration, Gabor Udvardi, Iberia Partner Manager at Graphisoft, says: “At Graphisoft, we strongly believe in the power of openBIM and the importance of training professionals who can collaborate in real, multidisciplinary environments. The alliance with ZIGURAT reinforces this shared vision: together, we bring students cutting-edge technology and an open methodology that prepares them for the current challenges of the AECO sector. It is essential for us to support institutions like ZIGURAT that are committed to rigorous, industry-connected training focused on developing competencies that truly make a difference in professional practice.”
Present in more than 120 countries and with a community of over 20,000 alumni, ZIGURAT continues to promote global education, aligned with industry needs and focused on developing skills that drive digital transformation in the sector.
