Rui de Klerk is an Architect with specialization in Design and Computing, researcher and consultant in the areas of Generative Design, Linked Building Data (LBD), City Information Modelling (CIM) and VR/AR since 2013.

Over time, he has explored different ways of articulating digital tools with design processes at different scales: from object design to parametric urban planning, with a focus on algorithmic design for architecture.

He is a member of the Research Center for Architecture, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD), and until recently served on the coordination panel of the Linked Building Data Community Group of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

He also works as an architect and teacher in the areas of Computational Design.
