This document regulates the conditions for the acquisition and use of the Zigurat Alumni Platform/Community, a service provided to former students by the company ZIGURAT. This service consists, among others, of the provision of a network of contacts, the continuous updating of information, and job offers through the Alumni platform.


1.1 These General Conditions are published in the ALUMNI COMMUNITY section of the website  and will always be available for reference.

1.2 These General Conditions apply exclusively to former ZIGURAT students who are members of the Alumni Community, those parties being:

  • ZIGURAT GLOBAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY S.L. (hereinafter also referred to as ZIGURAT), based at C/ Almogavers 66, 2, 08018 Barcelona, ​​enrolled with the Corporate Taxpayer Registry under (CIF) nº B 62673900, and with the Mercantile Register of Barcelona under ​T33982, F221, H-B237729.
  • Former ZIGURAT students (hereinafter also referred to as User, Student or Member).

1.3 Zigurat reserves the right to alter these general conditions at any time, subject to submission to the Members of the Community for approval, whereby any such new conditions will be regarded as having been accepted on the use and access of the Alumni Community.

1.4 The conditions regulating services which entail an economic consideration will only apply when the user has contracted such a service in the manner regulated in each case.

1.5 All acquisition and registration processes on the Alumni platform will be conducted entirely online and the completion of a Master’s degree at Zigurat will be an essential requirement for the use of the platform and the acquisition of the services provided. 

1.6 Access to the Alumni Community implies the express acceptance of each and every one of the Community´s general terms and conditions set forth herein.


2.1 The purpose of these general conditions is to regulate the use of the Alumni Community (hereinafter also referred to as the Alumni Platform) by Students, in addition to the acquisition of the Basic and Premium services provided by the platform.

2.2 The conditions applicable to each of the different services (Basic and Premium) are specified in the following sections.


3.1 The Basic Services of the Alumni Community include the following benefits:

i) Access to discounts on Zigurat Master´s courses.

ii) Access to Master´s classes on the Alumni Platform.

iii) Access to the alumni Directory, this being the network of contact data on students who have completed one or more Zigurat Master´s courses. Access to this directory through the basic service will only enable users to respond to communications submitted by another premium contact; users will need to subscribe to the Premium service in order to initiate contacts/conversations with other students.

iv) Access to job offers, without being able to apply for them (users will require the Premium service for this purpose).

3.2 The Zigurat Alumni Community Basic Service is free of charge and accessible to all Students who have completed a Zigurat Master´s degree. 

3.3 Students registered with the Alumni Community in the Basic Services category are subject to and undertake to comply with the Community´s conditions of use.


4.1 The Alumni Community Premium Services include, in addition to the Basic Services, the following benefits:

i) Access to the Alumni Directory, entitled to initiate communications with other members of the community, in addition to accessing the contact data published by students in their profiles.

ii) Access to Student Week: access to conferences, seminars and activities related to the engineering and architecture sector, in addition to other recreational activities organised within the scope of Student Week, promoted by Zigurat.

iii) Access and registration for job offers.

iv) Access and enrollment at no additional charge to two short courses (continuous training) per year.

v) Access to premium content.

vi) Access to consultations with Ambassadors: Ambassadors are selected by Zigurat and must have concluded one or more Master’s degrees. Ambassadors provide guidance on these courses, whereby premium members interested in taking a particular Master´s can consult someone who has actually sat the course and ask for information on a specific Master´s degree.   

4.2 Payment service: the Premium Service is accessible free of charge to Students studying for a Zigurat Master´s. Once the course has been concluded, the student will have free access to Premium Services for 3 months. At the end of this 3-month period, the Premium Service will be charged for and the student will need to purchase it.  

4.3 Consideration: the consideration for the Premium Service will be defined at the end of each subscription. The Student will be sent a notification before the end of the subscription period in the form of an e-mail or any other means of electronic communication, including the platform´s own communication channels, with information on the amount to be paid to renew the subscription and the process to follow in order to renew and/or purchase a new subscription.

4.4 Term: Premium Service subscriptions will be annual.

4.5 Renewal of subscriptions: to renew the Premium Services subscription, unless expressly specified otherwise by Zigurat, the Student will receive an e-mail with notification of the expiration of the subscription and how to renew it. The Student will be required to provide a copy of his/her updated ID card to enable the administration to check that the Student’s information is correct and to verify the respective identity. Once the payment has been effected in the manner indicated by Zigurat, it will be verified, and in the event of an error or if the payment is cancelled, access to the service will be denied until the payment issue has been dealt with. 

4.6 Cancellation of subscriptions. Right to withdraw. Once the premium service has been purchased and paid for, it cannot be cancelled and the right to withdraw will no longer be valid. This is in accordance with the characteristics of the service, which consists of the supply of digital content, which has commenced and has provided the student with access to the contents of the Alumni Community and, as such, in accordance with the applicable regulations (Art. 103 of RDL 1/2007, the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users) – the right to withdraw is forfeited once the service has begun.


5.1 Access to the community: access to the community is achieved using the credentials provided to the student by ZIGURAT at the time of enrolling in the Master’s degree. 

5.2 Creation of a profile: students accessing the Alumni Community are required to create and develop a user profile, whereby the inclusion of much of the information is optional. However, the development of a complete profile is recommended in order to take full advantage of the platform’s benefits.

With regard to the profile photograph, users undertake to provide a photograph for which they hold the corresponding rights of image and use, and will hold Zigurat harmless from any infringement of third-party rights (both image rights and copyright) arising from the use by the user of a photograph in the Alumni platform environment.

5.3 Country Counsellor Profile: to obtain a country counsellor profile, simply add the information on the user’s country of origin and make that information visible to users. Country Counsellors have country-specific visibility that can help other users identify potential interactions by country of origin.

5.4 Members of the Alumni Community: the following are members of the Alumni Community:

i) Students sitting a Master´s degree. These are Premium members throughout the Master´s course and are entitled to Premium member status for a period of 3 additional months once the course has finished, unless they renew their Premium subscription in accordance with the provisions of section 4. 

ii) People who have concluded a Zigurat Master´s degree. Each member will be able to access the Platform and the respective services in accordance with Premium or Basic membership.

iii) Collaborating companies: these are companies interested in viewing the profiles of Alumni community members for the purpose of recruitment for employment. 

Collaborating companies will be able to access the information students have published in their profile, including contact information. When a collaborating company is interested in a member whose contact information is not in their profile, Zigurat will contact that member in question in order to obtain approval for Zigurat to submit their contact information to the company in question.

5.5 Use of the platform’s communication channels: the Zigurat Alumni Community provides its members with the possibility of using the platform itself as a means of communication, through chat and other internal channels. Moreover, members can post comments on the different profiles of the community´s members.

Members are required to use these channels for the purpose of creating a network of contacts and work, or in other words, a network of professional contacts. They also undertake not to send or publish messages or communications with content that: 

  • Is defamatory, obscene, insulting, offensive or threatening, or entails harassment or incitement to commit any act prohibited by Spanish law.
  • Fails to respect people´s dignity and the principle of non-discrimination based on race, religion, opinion, nationality, disability or any other personal or social circumstance.
  • Is subscribed to by a person assuming the identity of a third party or when third-party personal data is published.
  • Advertises products or services or posts messages with information on other websites for commercial purposes or disseminates such websites.
  • Reproduces texts written by other authors, either in whole or in part.
  • Includes repeat messages.

In accordance with the foregoing, Zigurat reserves the right to delete or remove messages and public content of the aforementioned nature.

In this regard, and in accordance with article 16 of the LSSICE, Zigurat will not be held liable for the comments and messages published by users of the Community.

Furthermore, Zigurat reserves the right to delete or cancel the publication of inappropriate comments or those that violate any of these rules of participation.  

5.6 Exclusion of members: Zigurat reserves the right to deny access to users that have breached the rules of participation set forth in this section more than once. In the case of Premium members, they will lose their subscription to the services, even if the subscription period is ongoing, and will have no right to a refund.


In accordance with the provisions of EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND COUNCIL REGULATION (EU) REGULATION 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 ON the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of such data, which revokes Directive 95/46/CE and Organic Law 3/2018 of 05 December on the Protection of Personal Data and the guarantee of digital rights, we hereby report the following:

We process the data provided by students at the time they enroll in the Master´s course, in addition to the data published in their profile, much of which will be optional. 

Students will be asked to provide the following data: name and surname, age/date of birth, profession, address, telephone number, e-mail address, bank details, where applicable, academic qualifications, where applicable, curriculum vitae, Master’s degree taken, country of origin, photograph.

PURPOSE: What do we process your data for?

The data provided will be processed for the following purposes in accordance with the following legal grounds:

  • To register Students on the Alumni platform and to deal with the technical management of their digital profile, including the storage of data to enable the provision of the service.
  • To create and manage students´ credentials for accessing the ZIGURAT systems, communities and networks.
  • To bill and manage collections/payments to the Student.
  • To facilitate the services provided by the Alumni community, including communication channels between students within the community environment.
  • To generate curriculum vitae in PDF format with the Student’s profile data and other data available to Zigurat.
  • To submit Curriculum Vitae to the job offers Students have subscribed to/registered with through the platform.
  • To manage users´ enrollment in Student Week activities when the Student has subscribed to the Premium service.
  • To manage users´ enrollment in seminars provided by third parties.
  • To validate users´ data and identity in the acquisition of the Premium service.
Execution of an agreement (Art. 6.1 b) of the GDPR). Data processing is necessary to execute and comply with the obligations arising from the existing contractual relationship, consisting of the provision of the Alumni platform service by Zigurat.
  • To submit data to collaborating companies with an interest in a student’s profile.
  • To submit contact details to other members of the community.

  • Publication of the image on the Alumni platform.

DATA RETENTION: How long do we keep your data for?

In general terms, ZIGURAT will keep data on file when this is necessary and justified for the following reasons:

  • The data and documentation kept on file justify the provision of the service, and are kept for the period of limitation for any legal action arising from the provision of the service.
  • The data must be kept on file pursuant to a legal requirement.

In accordance with the foregoing, we hereby inform you that the RETENTION PERIOD for a Student’s profile data will remain in force for as long as the student uses the service and/or does not ask to cancel it.

ADDRESSEES: Who do we disclose your personal data to?

In order to comply with the aforementioned purposes and meet our contractual obligations, we will need to share your data with: 

  • Companies providing information society services, such as web hosting services, electronic mail services and cloud storage services.
  • Companies providing communication and marketing services (advertising agencies).
  • Partner companies interested in a Student´s profile.
  • Banking entities, where applicable.
  • The Tax Agency and Public Authorities when this necessary in order to comply with legal obligations.
  • Legal and accounting consultancy companies.


As the owner of the personal data provided, we hereby inform you of your rights:

  • To access your personal data.
  • To amend and delete your personal data.
  • To oppose the processing of your personal data in the event of the occurrence of any of the circumstances set forth in the regulations on data protection.
  • To limit the processing of your data in the event of the occurrence of any of the circumstances set forth in the regulations on data protection.
  • The right to the portability of your data in the event of the occurrence of any of the circumstances set forth in the regulations on data protection..
  • To file a complaint or claim for the custody of your rights with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

We will contact you as soon as we can by responding to your e-mail in order to provide you with the form you will need to exercise the right in question.


These General Conditions will remain in force for as long as ZIGURAT provides the Alumni Community service.

ZIGURAT may terminate the agreement in the event the Student breaches any of the obligations defined in these General Conditions.


The Student acknowledges and accepts that all industrial and intellectual property rights over the Platform and its contents are owned by ZIGURAT or third parties, including, without limitation, brands, logos, trade names, texts, images, graphics, designs, sounds, databases, software, presentations, audio and video..

Under no circumstances whatsoever does access to the Alumni Platform imply any kind of total or partial waiver, transfer, licensing or assignment of the rights in question, unless expressly stated otherwise. These General Conditions do not grant the Student any other right of use, amendment, exploitation, reproduction, distribution or public communication. Any other use or exploitation of any rights will be subject to the prior, express authorisation specifically granted for this purpose by ZIGURAT or the third-party owner of the rights in question. 

ZIGURAT authorises the Student to use, view, print, download and store the contents and/or elements of the Platform, whenever this is allowed, for exclusive personal, private and non-profit use.

The use, reproduction, disclosure and/or distribution of the aforementioned elements for any purpose other than those of the Platform, in addition to the amendment, alteration or similar is strictly prohibited. The prior, written consent of the owner of the rights in question will be required for any use other than those expressly permitted.

The Student guarantees the security and integrity of the contents and information transferred between the Parties, in such a way that no third party outside the relationship has access to and/or knowledge of such information.


These Conditions are regulated pursuant to the terms expressly agreed upon by the Parties and, secondarily, to the provisions of Spanish law. 

The Parties hereby elect the courts and tribunals of the city of Barcelona to settle any disputes arising from these General Conditions, with the express waiver of any other.
